How True Is Your Word?

Words. A new study sites that the average woman uses 20,000 words a day, while the average man comes in at approximately 7,000 words. The point here is not to dive into the reason for the number of words utilized by each gender, but to point…

Extreme Self Care During Times of Change

One of the main focuses of my work is patterns. They are the only thing in life that is unchanging, and today, it feels like everything is changing. I first developed my interest in patterns during a two-year program that I took as an undergraduate.…

Nike Got It Right!

Back in 1988, the Nike Corporation came out with their slogan, "Just Do It!" I remember thinking at the time, now that's something!  It resonated on a deeper level for some reason, but I didn't know why. Apparently, the "tough, take no…

Claiming Self Value & Worth

"You either walk into your story and own your truth, or you live outside your story, hustling for your worthiness."     ~Brené Brown

Mirror, Mirror

The Reward of Patience

We have often heard that patience is a virtue, and yet, there isn't much out there in the world that teaches and models what it looks like to practice and attain this virtue for ourselves. This is one of the reasons why we have to pay attention…

Believe in the Basics

The past few weeks have been a very interesting time for me. On the one hand, like you, probably, I've been wrapping up the end of the summer and those last "let's squeeze this in" plans that go along with trying to make the most of the final moments of vacation time. On the other hand, there has been the preparation for my daughter's new school year (not to mention a total redecoration of her room at home!) and a focus on business projects and work that I have to organize for upcoming events and looming deadlines.
